Summary: Simon and Ellen’s parents leave the island to go somewhere and leave the kids in charge of watching the house and island. Together they must finish their chores before their parents return home. However before they can complete their chores Simon figure out that a mysterious man arrives on the island looking for the “Juan De Fucas treasure.”

Can Simon and Ellen find the treasure before Joseph, the mysterious man finds it?

  • Was the story what you expected it? Were you disappointed? Surprised? The story was not what I expected. The ending wasnt as interesting as I thought it would be.
  • Do you think that the book was suitable for your age? Too violent, swearing, sex, etc.: I think this book was very suitable and age appropriate. There was no swearing or anything sexual. 
  • Did you like/dislike the book? Why? I liked this book because it was a little adventurous and mysterious. It was very eye-catching and always left you guessing.
  • Who would you recommend this book to, even if you disliked it? Give an example. I would mostly recommend this book to sec ones because it will be easy for them to understand.
  • Is this a stand-alone book, or is it part of a series? This book is a stand alone-book.
  • Does the cover art match the style of the book inside? Yes the cover art does match the style of the book inside.
